Shuttle Service

Attention All Students

Shuttle will begin on the weekend of Friday, August 26; Saturday, August 27, 2011; and Sunday, August 28, 2011

Shuttle leaving college at 9:00am and 4:00pm on Saturday

The shuttle will pick up from Annapolis, BWI and New Carrollton

Regular shuttle schedule will Begin the weekend of 9/2/11

The weekend campus shuttle service stops at the Annapolis Mall and New Carrollton Metro Station. From New Carrollton, students can take the Metro transit system into Washington, D.C., and can access the Amtrak train system. The weekend shuttle offers a trip to and from Annapolis and New Carrollton Station once each day on Friday and Sunday, and twice on Saturday.

The weekend campus shuttle will no longer require students to pay a per trip fee. Students must make advance reservations, however, using WebAdvisor to reserve a seat. Reservations must be made before 2 p.m. on the Thursday before a Friday shuttle trip or before 2 p.m. Friday for a Saturday or Sunday shuttle trip.

Shuttle Cancellation Policy

Contact Buildings and Grounds at ext. 7210 before Friday, at 3:30 p.m. of the weekend for your scheduled travel; or

Call the shuttle cell phone 24 hours prior to your scheduled travel day and time.

Please be aware for students who repeatedly make a reservation and fail to show up, the privilege to use the shuttle may be suspended either indefinitely or for a specified period.

• Casey Academic Center - parking circle facing the road
• Annapolis Mall - outside of California Pizza Kitchen
• New Carrollton Metro - Kiss & Ride, Rt. 50 side (John Hanson Hwy)
• BWI Airport (Vacation/Break Shuttle Only) - outside Southwest departure area (not available on regular weekend shuttle trips)

Plan your trip to make the shuttle on time. The shuttle is unable to wait more than 20 minutes for delayed passengers. Passengers who miss the shuttle will need to be prepared to make alternate arrangements using local transportation services for hire.

Vacation/Break Shuttle

At the beginning and end of designated break periods, the shuttle includes drop-off and pick-up at Baltimore-Washington International Airport (BWI). Information about vacation/break shuttle service (dates and times) is available on WebAdvisor's "Shuttle Reservations" site.

Shuttle Reservations

Reservations for the weekend and vacation/break period shuttles are required and can be arranged by going to WebAdvisor. You will be guided through a two-step process summarized below.

1) Make a Reservation

Using WebAdvisor, select "Shuttle Reservation" under the "Miscellaneous" heading, and follow the directions.

2) Show Your Printed Reservation Receipt to the Shuttle Driver

For a round trip, present the receipt on the first leg of your shuttle ride; the driver will collect it on the return trip.

Exploring the Region - By Appointment

The College also offers students the opportunity to arrange a shuttle to various destinations up to 2.5 hours away. Destinations within this area include Philadelphia, Dover, Washington D.C., Baltimore and other popular locations. Students must pay all costs associated with the By Appointment shuttle including the driver (and driver's time if the driver must wait for the return trip), gas, tolls and parking. By Appointment reservations must be made at least one full week before the scheduled trip, are limited to individuals with WC ID cards, and are based on availability. Generally, two or more passengers are required to reserve the shuttle. Individuals reserving the shuttle must participate in the trip and the names of all passengers must be provided to Darrell Jester.
